ROXY Dance Teams are all warmed up and ready to compete this weekend at the Fusion National Dance Competition, hosted this year at the DoubleTree by Hilton Miami Airport & Convention Center. Under the quality control of Jillian Torgas-Leyva, ROXY Dance Director, dance team members will compete in every category including solo, duo/trio, and small & large group in everything from belly dancing to contemporary, tap to jazz, lyrical to musical theatre.
More than 30 girls and boys will be competing at the Intermediate and Elite levels, with students ranging in ages from 8 to 17 years old. With performance in mind, ROXY Dance Teams rehearse practically every day and for many hours in order to combine technique and performance as perfectly as possible. Team members put on their game faces at competition, but always keep good sportsmanship front and center. That’s why ROXY Dance Teams excel.
