Programs

The Roxy Theatre Group has three programs in place to financially assist children and families to participate in the arts at our facility. The Head Start to the Arts, Kidz on Stage After-School Care and Camp Entertainment!, a performing arts summer camp. We offer an array of performing arts classes and conduct various theater productions with our students.

PERFORMING ARTS CLASSES

Our innovative and unique programming features classes in Acting, Voice, Musical Theatre, Ballet, Ballroom, Acrobatics, Jazz, Lyrical, Hip-Hop, Tap, Belly Dancing, Technique and Pointe. Ages 3-17. Adult classes available. The program runs through June 4, 2009, Monday through Friday from 3:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

HEAD START TO THE ARTS

3:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Services provided:

• Scholarships
• A complimentary costume for the year-end recital
• Two classes of choice per week
• Participation in all of the productions conducted throughout the year

KIDZ ON STAGE AFTER-SCHOOL CARE

2:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Grades K-8th. Services provided:

• Homework assistance
• Educational stations in: Math, Reading and Writing, Science
• Arts and Crafts
• Physical education
• Performing Arts classes
• Participation in a musical production created especially for them at the end of the school year

CAMP ENTERTAINMENT! SUMMER CAMP

June through August-8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

• Services provided:
• Performing Arts classes
• Set construction and design
• Stage-makeup
• Stage combat
• Improvisation
• Movement
• Participation in an end-of-the-summer Broadway-style musical.

Our Season

• Fall Follies, an Autumn recital
• Holly Jolly Follies, a Winter recital
• A Main-Stage Musical Production
• A theme-based year-end Recital
• Several original shows written and performed by parents, students, local teachers and special guests
