Based on the classic fairy tale, “The Princess and the Pea,” by Hans Christian Andersen, Once Upon A Mattress is a fun light-hearted musical with music by Mary Rodgers, lyrics by Marshall Barer and book by Jay Thompson, Marshall Barer and Dean Fuller.

Gala Fundraiser: There will be a cocktail reception and after-show party on Saturday, July 24, 2010 and tickets are $50. All proceeds benefit RTG’s Student Scholarship Fund.

An enchanting musical comedy infused with love, magic and plenty of zany adventures, Once Upon a Mattress, features a cast of 35 students, ages 10-22, and an orchestra of students from the Greater Miami Youth Symphony (GMYS), a non-profit organization dedicated to training young musicians.
